Miss Gloria M. Grasse Is Bride Of Gaylord Schmidt

Nuptial vows were repeated on Saturday by Miss Gloria Marie Grasse and Gaylord W. Schmidt. St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church was the scene of the 2 o'clock ceremony performed by the Rev. Marvin P. Lehmann.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grasse, 2130 Henry St. Her attire was a gown of satin and lace with a small, pointed collar of lace, a sheer yoke adorned with lace and sequins and a lace-trimmed fitted bodice. Long, fitted sleeves and a full bouffant skirt, which terminated in a large fan-shaped train with tiers of lace in back, were other features of the gown. In the bridal bouquet, a large white orchid was surrounded by baby orchids.

Miss Marlene Leicht was maid of honor for her cousin and donned a satin dress in forest green with two layers of net set off by a tier of lace on each side. Yellow roses and gladioli comprised her bouquet. Gowns of the bridesmaids, Miss Margaret Schmidt, the bridegroom's cousin, and Miss Patricia Hoenke, similarly related to the bride, were identical in gold. They held bouquets of gladioli.

Best man for the ceremony was Fred Heronymus. Roles of groomsmen were assumed by Karl Leicht, cousin of the bride, and Paul Reinke.

Soloist for the service was Miss Elaine Goldmann and her numbers were "I Love You Truly" and "Because." Mrs. Herbert Grauman was organist.

Sky Garden Restaurant was the scene of the supper for 50 guests and the evening reception, which approximately 300 relatives and friends attended. Following a wedding trip, the couple will return to the city for a week and then will leave for New York, N.Y., to reside. The bride was graduated from Central High School in 1950 and was employed as a bookkeeper at Security National Bank. Her husband received his diploma from North High School two years previously, served for two years with the U.S. Navy and worked at JPR Co. He will attend a photography school in the metropolis. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Schmidt, 326 Bell Ave.

Out-of-town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Schmidt, Mrs. Susan Mayer, Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. G.C. Schmidt, Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Mayer Jr., Stevens Point, and G.W. Roberts, Wales, Wis.
