Miss C. Granacher Becomes Bride of Bernard Michaels Mitchell, April 24-- St. Michaels R. C. church at Mitchell was the setting Saturday, April 22, for the wedding of Miss Charlotte C. Granacher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Granacher, Rockville Centre, N.Y. and Bernard Michaels, route 1, Cascade. The Rev. C. J. Schouten officiated. Potted ferns and lilies decorated the church altar.

The nuptial high mass was sung by the choir and Mrs. John Henkel was soloist for the 9 a.m. ceremony and sang "Ava Maria". Mrs. Ed. Keuper presided at the organ.

The bride was a picture in her traditional gown of white satin, styled with a long full skirt and train and a bustle effect on the skirt. The gown buttoned down the front and long sleeves came to points at the wrist. A pearl beaded headpiece held her finger-tip veil. Camellias were placed on top of her pearl covered book.

The bride was attended by Miss Mary Weinhold as maid of honor and she wore a blue satin dress identical to that of the bride, only with short sleeves. Blue gloves and matching headpiece complemented this attire. She carried pink and white carnations. The bridesmaid, Miss Margaret Michaels, sister of the groom, chose an ice pink satin gown, fashioned with a net yoke and ruffle, giving it a drop shoulder effect, a tight bodice and a full skirt. Ruffles identical to those on the dress, were seen on her elbow length gloves. Camellias and African violets were carried on her prayer book. Her headpiece was a pink sweetheart bonnet with a long drape on the right side.

Attending the groom was his brother, Gerald Michaels, as best man. The groom and his attendant wore tuxedos. Francis Michaels and David O'Reilly, cousins of the groom, ushered.

Dinner was served to 50 guests at Forest Lake Resort and a reception was held there between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. for 150 relatives and friends. The groom's mother was attired in a navy blue dress with navy accessories and a corsage of white carnations.

The bride attended St. Agnes Academy, Rockville, N.Y.; St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing, N.Y. and is presently employed at St. Nicholas hospital in Sheboygan. her husband is a graduate of Plymouth High School, served two years in the Marine Corps and is now employed by the State Conservation Department.

A home awaits the couple on route 1, Cascade, when, they return from their honeymoon. When they left, the new Mrs. Michaels wore a brown suit and hat and snake skin shoes and purse.

Several pre-nuptial parties were given the couple, including a shower last Tuesday evening at the home a Miss A. Kleinhaus, and attended by the girls of the St. Nicholas hospital staff. A stag party for the groom was given by the State Conservation Dept. at Forest Lake Resort.
