SCANLON, James - BURKE, Estella

A quiet but pretty marriage was solemnized at St. Matthews Catholic church in Milwaukee, January 16th at 7:30 o'clock, the contracting parties being Miss Estella Burke and James Scanlon.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Will Burke of the town of Mitchell, but for the past two years has been employed in Chilton, where she has made many friends, who wish her a happy and prosperous life. The groom is a son of Mrs. Mary Scanlon of Adell and has held a responsible position as patternmaker for the International Harvester Company of Milwaukee. The bride wore a very becoming suit of blue chiffon broadcloth and a picture hat to match, while Miss Mayme Burke, cousin of the bride, who acted as bridesmaid, wore a blue broadcloth suit and a dainty white hat. The groom wore the customary suit of black while the best man, Gordon Burke, brother of the bride, wore a blue serge suit. After receiving congratulations from Rev. Father Ryan, the bridal party journeyed to the Wisconsin Hotel, where they enjoyed a wedding breakfast. The newly wedded pair started housekeeping immediately in their rooms on National Avenue. May good luck attend them is the wish of their Mitchell and Adell friends.
