Wednesday morning at ten o'clock the nuptial high mass of Miss Marie Murphy,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Murphy, town of Plymouth to John P. Reiss,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Reiss was solemnized at St. John's Catholic
church.
The bride was becomingly attired in a gray traveling suit with hat and shoes
to match and wore a corsage bouquet of pink and white sweet peas. The
bridesmaid, Miss Marion Smith, cousin of the bride, was clad in drab suit
with hat to match and wore a corsage bouquet of sweet peas. Albert Reiss,
brother of the groom acted as best man.
After the ceremony, the guests were entertained at the home of the bride's
parents a few miles from the city. The house decorations and cut flowers
were in pink and white. The couple left the same day for a brief wedding
trip to Milwaukee, Chicago and other points.
The bride has been a very successful school teacher for the past number of
years and through her charming personality has won many friends. The groom
is a successful farmer and conducts a farm in Greenbush, where the young
couple will make their home. The REPORTER and many friends extend
congratulations.
