On Tuesday, Feb. 13, was solemnized the marriage of Miss Hannah Hughes and
Mr. Michael Crosby at St. Nicholas(sic) church, Mitchell.
Promptly at 10:30 o'clock the bridal party entered the church when Rev.
Phelim Hughes of Milwaukee, cousin of the bride, performed the beautiful and
impressive ceremony which made the happy couple one for life. The bride was
charmingly attired in a beautiful blue Eton suit with blue hat and carried a
prayer book, while Miss Margaret Manley as bridesmaid wore a pearl gray
velvet suit and hat of the same.
After receiving the congratulations of their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Crosby
repaired to the home of the bride where a delicious dinner was served to
relatives of the contracting parties only. The house decorations were
beautiful consisting of pink and white carnations and green foliage. The
groom is the second youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Crosby and is one of
most stable and upright men in Mitchell.
The bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. and (sic) John Hughes and is one
of the most amiable and popular young ladies of the town. The young people
went to housekeeping at once in their new home one and one half miles from
Plymouth.
A host of friends join in wishing them much joy and success in their journey
through life.

THE CROSBY-HUGHES NUPTIALS
A very interesting wedding occurred at St. Michael's church in Mitchell on
Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 10 o'clock, the occasion being the marriage of Miss
Hannah Hughes youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hughes and Mike Crosby
both parties being residents of the town of Mitchell. Rev. Phelim Hughes of
Waukesha, a cousin of the bride, performed the nuptial ceremony assisted by
Rev. B. J. Burke. The young couple was attended by Miss Margaret Manley as
maid of honor and John Murphy of Plymouth, a nephew of the groom, acted as
best man.
The bride was gowned in a beautiful blue velvet traveling suit with hat to
match while Miss Manley was attired in a gray velvet suit with hat to match.
Following the ceremony a reception was given at the home of the bride at
which relatives and a few intimate friends were present. Many beautiful and
costly gifts were presented the bridal pair as tokens of esteem of their
numerous friends.
After a brief honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. Crosby will be at home to their
friends in their new home in the town of Plymouth which the groom has
recently purchased. They will be accompanied to their new home by the well
wishes of a host of friends that their future life may be one of unalloyed
years.
