A very beautiful wedding occurred at the catholic church on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock. Oct. 24, 1905. When Miss Edwina oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Burg became the wife of Dr. Edward P. Crosby of Lomira, Wis. Father Stemper pronouncing the words that made them one and also sang the nuptial mass. Promptly at the appointed hour the bridal party arrived and marched to the altar by the beautiful strains of Lohengrinn wedding march, played by Miss Ida Konz. The bride who was accompanied to the altar and given away by her father, was met by the groom and best man Walter Burg brother of bride where the impressive words were uttered by the priest. The bride wore an exquisite gown of white satin chiffon elaborately trimmed with Prusills point. Her tuile veal (sic) was fashioned with orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of American beauty roses tied with white tuile. The maid of honor Miss Agnes Murphy a niece of the groom was attired in pink crepe du chine with lace trimmings and wore a beautiful pink picture hat and carried a bouquet of maiden hair ferns tied with pink tuile, the brides maids Miss Elfrieda Becker of Wheeling, Ill., a cousin of the bride and Miss Mae Crosby of Parnell niece of the groom were gowned in white chiffon, cloth and lace, with white hats and carried bouquets of pink chrysanthemums tied with white tuile. Lewis Crosby of Parnell and George Murphy of Plymouth, brother and nephew of groom acted as ushers. The ceremony was followed by a reception given to relatives and intimate friends during the day. The decorations of the dining room were in pink and green. While over the brides table was a large white dove which apparently assisted greatly in the decorations of the table by holding in its mouth the white ribbons which together with smilax formed a canopy over the first meal partaken of the newly married couple and their attendants. The parlor was in yellow and white, while the hall was artistically trimmed with cedar buntings and autumn leaves. In the evening in respond (sic) to the 500 invitations issued a large crowd assembled and made merry until the we (sic) hours in honor of the occasion, Kiel orchestra provided the music and where the crowd was invited guests spent a never to be forgotten night. The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Burg and has always been an ornament to society by her pleasant manner and accomplishments and who will grace beautifully the home, the doctor has prepaired and will be at home to their friends after Nov. 1st, and will be accompanied by the best wishes of hosts of friends. Among the many out of town guests were: Miss Millhop of Milwaukee, Mrs. Hecker and daughter of Wheeling, Ill., Mrs. Schunitz and daughter, Mrs. Schoenecker and daughter of Milwaukee, Misses Brust and Velker of Burlington, Wis.
