Miss Helen Mersberger And Eugene W. Brandl Are Wed

St. Dominic's Church was the scene for the nuptial Mass at 11 o'clock Saturday morning that followed the service of marriage for Miss Helen Mersberger and Eugene W. Brandl.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Mersberger, 1113 Broadway. The other principal is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brandl.

Celebrant of the Mass was the Rev. William J. Farrell. The grade school choir sang.

Two bouquets of white and blue gladioli on the altar with two standards of the same combinations were used to decorate the church.

A nylon-over-satin wedding gown was styled with scalloped neckline and long sleeves. The floor-length attire had appliques of lace on the bodice and skirt and sequins on the bodice were other adornment. Three floral-adorned bands with rhinestone trim formed the headpiece to which a fingertip veil was attached. Red roses, stephanotis and white feathered carnations were combined in the crescent arrangement she carried. Her father presented her in marriage.

Sisters of the bridegroom, Miss Nancy Brandl, maid of honor, and Mrs. Jack Goetsch, bridesmaid, were identically attired in powder blue, street-length sheaths that has V-back necklines and short sleeves. The styling included light blue lace overskirts. The materials were silk organza over taffeta. Headpiece donned by each attendant was a band of the same material as the dress with pearl droplets and lace net draping from the back. Red roses and white feathered chrysanthemums formed her cascade bouquet.

Male attendants were Jack Goetsch, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Clyde Post Jr., who were best man and groomsman, respectively. Brothers of the couple, Dale Brandl and Thomas Mersberger, did the ushering. Dinner at the Town House for 25 guests and the reception and buffet supper for 400 relatives and friends at Andy's Place were the social phases of the nuptial event.

Address of the couple is 1419 Carl Ave. The bride is a graduate of Central High School, class of 1958, and is a general bookkeeper at Security First National Bank.

Out-of-city persons present at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. William Brandl, Racine; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Brandl and Mr. and Mrs. James Brandl, Kenosha; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Haen, Appleton; Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Krause, Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. William Gartman, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Prust and Mr. and Mrs. John Robinson, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Biwan, Kiel, and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Trimberger, New Holstein.
