Dotz-Senglaub Couple Back From Honeymoon

Glenn Senglaub, SN, who is serving in the U.S. Navy, on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 22, claimed Miss Sandra Dotz as his bride in five o'clock wedding that was held in Trinity Lutheran Church.

The couple went to Northern Wisconsin for the honeymoon and the bridegroom has returned to duty and has been sent to Cuba. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Dotz, 1218 S. 21st St., is living with her parents. Service of marriage was read by the Rev. Hans R. Tornow. Organ music was played by H.C. Rommelmann and the selections included "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire" by Bach for the processional and "Psalm XIX" by Marcello for the recessional. He also accompanied Miss Paulette Gessel, whose solo numbers were "The Wedding Prayer" and "The Lord's Prayer."

All-white bouquets on the altar, candelabra and palms were decor for candlelight ceremony. Pews occupied by parents of the couple had white satin bows placed on them.

Miss Janice Buss, maid of honor among the bridal aids, and the trio of bridesmaids, Miss Diane Molitor, Mrs. Tim Kind and Miss Jean Madson, Kiel, were dressed in peppermint nylon sheer over taffeta. Scoop necklines, three-quarter length sleeves and fitted princess bodices were details of their styling. Street-length skirts had controlled fullness and featured tucked under shepherdess backs with large self-bows and hemline streamers for added interest.

Junior bridesmaid, Kristine Dotz, the bride's cousin, also wore peppermint nylon over sheer taffeta but the dress was made with a full skirt, short puffed sleeves, round neckline and a bow at back of the waist. Each aid held a cascade bouquet of bronze enchantress chrysanthemums and pompons with burgundy leaves intermingled with bittersweet, satin loops and ribbon providing the shower of blooms. Gold ribbon was used for the bouquets of bridesmaids.

A nephew of the bridegroom, Westley Senglaub, as ring bearer, carried a white satin ribboned cane with a cluster of bronze enchantress pompons with rings attached to streamers of yellow satin ribbon.

After this group entered the church, the bride appeared with her father, who presented her in marriage to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Senglaub, R. 1, Waldo.

Her gown featured a combination of lace and silk organza over taffeta. Sleeves were long and pointed and the square, scalloped neckline was trimmed with iridescent sequins and pearls. The bodice was fitted and had a midriff of Chantilly lace. The bouffant overskirt of silk organza was edged with scalloped lace. Front and back sides of the skirt were caught up and attached to bouffant overskirt of self-lace roses. Scalloped lace was used for the underskirt. Lace appliques highlighted the full organza skirt. She wore an aurora borealis crown with an elbow-length veil. All-white pompons and some with yellow centers formed a cascade with camellia foliage and knotted white stain ribbon.

Besides the best man, Dale Senglaub, the bridegroom's brother, there were three groomsmen, Walter Wolff, Ellis Eickman and Robert Dotz, the bride's brother. Another brother and her cousin, James Dotz and Stephen Dotz, were in capacities of ushers.

A buffet supper at Croatian Hall for 350 guests, with a dance fol ... sons were present from the state of Nevada, Norfolk, Va., Kenosha, Kiel, Waldo, Plymouth and St. Nazianz.

South High School is the bride's alma mater, class of 1962, and she is a waitress at Thimmig's Restaurant. The bridegroom received his diploma from Waldo High School in 1960.
