A PRETTY HOME WEDDING

The pleasant home of Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Baldwin in our village was the scene of one of the season's most pretty weddings on last Saturday, July 2nd, 1910, the room being tastily and neatly decorated with smilax, interspersed with white and pink carnations. Promptly at 12:00 o'clock, Rev. P. C. Wright, a brother-in-law of the groom, master of ceremonies, took his place and Miss Nellie Holland sang an appropriate solo after which she played a pretty wedding march to the tune of which appeared Master Stuart Wright, nephew of the groom, acting as flower boy, followed by Mr. L.H. Baldwin who presented his daughter, Jessie Evelyn, as the bride and she was accompanied by her cousin, Miss Susie Slyfield of Sheboygan, who was maid of honor. Mr. Eugene LaVerne McIntyre, the groom, was accompanied by his brother, Frank McIntyre, as groomsman. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses and the maid of honor pink roses. The ceremony then conducted by Rev. Wright was the usual ring token to bind the nuptual tie and closed with prayer after which was in waiting, a delicious wedding dinner prepared by Mrs. Robinson of Sheboygan as caterer and assisted by Mrs. J. Oglan, which was served by Misses Nina Pollard, Lena Keller, Leila Bishop, Nellie Holland and Bessie Hyatt, acting as servers. A number of gifts of cut glass and silver were presented to them.

The bride was attired in a beautiful white pointe de lace over white satin, and the groom in a dark blue serge suit. While all were fully enjoying the occasion socially, suddenly Rev. P. Swart appeared with his automobile and the bride and groom stealthily endeavored to disappear but were sent away in same under heavy shower of rice and taken to Oostburg where they boarded the train for Milwaukee and left Milwaukee at 7 o'clock for Lac du Flambeau, Wi. to spend a couple of weeks honeymoon at the lake there before returning to Milwaukee, their future home. Mr. McIntyre is one of the assistant city attorneys of Milwaukee, and the bride has spent the past three years as instructor in the deaf school. They will be at home in that city to their friends after Sept. 1st at 759 Maryland Ave.
