LINDSAY, William J. - BOWSER, Genevieve A.

MITCHELL MARRIAGES

St. Michael's church in Mitchell was the scene of a very pretty wedding Wednesday morning, Sept. 9th when William J. Lindsay and Miss Genevieve A. Bowser took the nuptial vows. The bride was attired in a gown of white French Grenadine over white satin charmeuse, wore a veil and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. Claire M. Bowser, sister of the bride, was brides-maid, and wore a dress of pale blue chiffon taffeta and carried a bouquet of pink snap-dragon. The maid of honor, Miss Mamie K. Burke, a cousin of the groom, was dressed in pale blue silk moire and also carried a bouquet of pink snap-dragon.

The bride entered the church on her father's arm and was followed by the brides-maid and maid of honor. They were met at the altar by the groom, the best man, Matt Bowser, a brother of the bride, and second attendant, Lawrence P. Devine. All wore navy suits and button-hole bouquets, corresponding to their partners. After the ceremony, the wedding party returned to the bride's home where a delicious dinner was served to the immediate relatives. At about three o'clock the bridal party left in an auto and were stopped by a rope stretched across the road. After delaying them for some time and ricing them to their heart's content, the guests permitted them to go with many good wishes. The couple visited Milwaukee and Chicago and other places of interest. Since their return they are residing at Mitchell on the groom's farm.

Among the out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Harkins and daughter of Milwaukee, R.R. Supt. J. M. Clifford, wife and daughter of Green Bay, Mrs. Nora Carey and daughter of St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. T. F. Foley and daughters and Mart. McNelty of Fond du Lac, Rev. Al. P. Krause of Armstrong and Rev. Charles Hoog of Cascade, who read the marriage service.
