According to announcement the marriage of Mr. W. J. Keyes of Mitchell and
Miss Ella Murray of Mitchell took place at the St. Mitchell (sic) church in
Mitchell Tuesday morning at nine o'clock; Rev. Father Burke officiating. It
was preferred that the affair be a quiet one and only the relatives and a
few intimate friends were present. The bridesmaid and groomsman were Miss
Nora Murray and E. J. Keyes. The happy couple need no testimonial from the
writer as to their many excellent qualities. Mrs. Keyes is recognized not
only as efficient school teacher but as a most estimable lady in every
particular, while Mr. Keyes is in possession of every requisite of a
thorough gentleman. They received a number of nice and costly presents.
Mr. and Mrs. John Gill and Mr. and Mrs. Libbie Scanlon of Iron Mountain,
Mich. attended from abroad. The very best wishes of many friends and HERALD
writer attend the worthy couple in their new departure in life. Mr. and
Mrs. Keyes left on the evening train for Milwaukee on their bridal tour and
will return the last part of the week so as to go to keeping house soon.
