KENNEDY, John F. - O'REILLY/REILLY, Estella

The marriage of Miss Estella O'Reilly of Parnell to Mr. John F. Kennedy of Friendship, Fond du Lac County was performed Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock Jan. 10, 1912 at St. Michael's church by Rev. J. H. Fisher. The nuptial mass was said at 10 o'clock that morning at which time the marriage ceremony was to have taken place, but on account of blockaded roads the train on which the groom's party was to arrive was delayed for hours in reaching Fond du Lac.

It was indeed a very pretty evening wedding. The bride was charmingly gowned in a creation of sheer white Marquisette over pink messaline and wore a tulle veil caught up with lilies of the valley. She carried a pearl rosary and a white prayer book.

The bride's cousin Miss Stella Martin of Madison was maid of honor and wore pink marquisette over pink messaline. The bride's maid was Miss Agnes Devine, who wore white marquisette over blue messaline. Both young ladies wore black velvet hats and carried shower bouquets of carnations and ferns. Will Fox of Fond du Lac, a cousin of the groom acted as bestman and Gerald T. Martin was groomsman. The bride was given away by her brother, J. P. O'Reilly.

A four course dinner was served at the home of the bride's mother. The dining room colors were pink and white and the Christmas colors decorated the parlor and sitting room

Those present from away were Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Kennedy of Friendship, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Hickey and Messrs. Gerald Martin and Will Fox of Fond du Lac, Miss Stella Martin of Madison and Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Flaherty and son of Eden.

The bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. M. Reilly, and is a young lady of tact and refinement, who by her agreeable manners has won for herself a host of friends. The groom descends from two of the oldest families of Fond du Lac County and is a young man of good habits and pleasing manners. The young couple will reside in the town of Friendship, where Mr. Kennedy owns and operates a cheese factory.
