Friends here have received announcements of the marriage of Edward M. Hughes
and Miss Anna D. Finnegan at St. Cecelia's church, Chicago on Tuesday, July
6th. Rev. Grogan performing the ceremony. Mr. Manley Hughes of Mitchell,
attended his brother as best man, while Miss Constance Finnegan, sister of
the bride, was maid of honor.
Following the service, a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the
bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Finnegan.
Mr. and Mrs. Hughes have gone on a wedding tour, in the course of which they
will visit the Expositions at San Francisco and San Diego and other points
of interest and will be "at home" after Aug. 20th at Chicago.
The groom is well and favorably known here, and possesses the qualities
which fits him for a happy home life and success in the business world. He
formerly resided at Spring Farm in Mitchell, but for the past eight years
has held a responsible position with the "Illinois Malleable Iron Works" and
for the past two years has been manager of the South Side Branch of the same
in Chicago.
A host of friends unite in wishing Mr. Hughes and his fair bride an
