Erwin Fritsch Jr. Claims Miss Gloria Poth As Bride

Miss Gloria Poth was the bride and Erwin Fritsch Jr., the bridegroom, in a 4 o'clock ceremony Saturday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town Wilson. The Rev. William Stoehr, pastor, conducted the service and the marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. William F. Schink, Woodland, Wis., uncle of the bridegroom.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. John Poth, Route 3, Sheboygan. The former presented his daughter in marriage to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Fritsch Sr., Route 3, Sheboygan.

Bridal attire was a gown with a hand-clipped Chantilly lace bodice and long pointed sleeves. A Queen Anne collar and chapel-length skirt of nylon tulle, paralleled with Chantilly lace. Pearls and sequins outlined the bride's half hat of accordion-pleated silk tulle, to which a fingertip veil was attached. She held a cascade bouquet of white bridal orchids.

Sister of the bride, Miss Elaine Poth, attended her as maid of honor and wore a cotillion blue waltz-length gown, styled with a lace fitted bodice and bouffant tulle skirt. Tiny ruffles trimmed the top of the bodice and the skirt. A mandarin jacket of lace was worn over the strapless bodice. This attendant carried a cascade bouquet of cattleya orchids.

Bridesmaids were Shirley Poth, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Harvey Fritsch, sister-in-law of the bridegroom. Their attire, coral-colored waltz-length dresses, styled with lace fitted bodices and bouffant tulle skirts, fashioned like the gown worn by the honor attendant. Lavender cattleya comprised their cascade bouquets. Each bridal aid wore a matching headpiece, a small leaf design bandeau.

Garb of the flower girl, Diane Jens, was the same as that of the honor attendant. She held a small cascade bouquet of miniature dendroblum orchids with matching flowers in her hair. David Gartman, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer and carried them on a cane decorated with small orchids. Besides the best man, LeRoy Fritsch, the bridegroom's brother, attendants for the bridegroom were Jerome and Harvey Fritsch, his brothers. Guests were shown to seats by William Jens and Lloyd Gartman, brothers-in-law of the couple.

"O Perfect Love" was sung by William Senkbeil during the nuptials and a selection by Miss Mary Senkbeil was "The Lord's Prayer." The organist was Henry Rommelmann. Bouquets of white chrysanthemums were placed on the altar and large standards of the same flowers were other church decorations. Dinner was served to 41 guests at Hoffman's Riverdale Restaurant and the reception for 500 relatives and friends took place at Town Wilson Hall.

Guests were present from West Bend, Milwaukee, Woodland and Whitelaw, Wis. Residence of the newlyweds will be Route 3, Sheboygan. The bride is a 1950 graduate of Central High School and works for Kohler Co. Her husband received his diploma in 1949 from Oostburg High School and is employed by Sheboygan County Highway Department.
