Family Reunions

Wierman

A total of 127 descendants of Siewert and Eliza Wierman, early residents of Onion River (Waldo), gathered Saturday, Aug. 10, at the home of Andy and Bette Wierman Pyle for a family reunion.

The Pyle home is a converted gristmill site in Fond du Lac County at Lake Bernice on the west branch of the Milwaukee river, as Siewert Wierman, followed by his sons, Henry and Egbert, operated a flour and feed mill on the Onion river in Sheboygan County for over 55 years.

Frank Wierman, a second generation representative, related various family history and events. Other living second generation members are Mrs. Henry (Mayme Dorst) Wierman, Sunny Ridge, and Mrs. Frank (Dorothy Stokdyk) Wierman, Plymouth.

Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Art (Helen Atkin) Paasch, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer (Grace Atkin) Gerber, Sheboygan Falls; Mrs. Rudy (Alice Atkin) Sievert, Watertown, and Ervin Wierman, Tucson, Ariz.

{This information was sent to me by Beth Hughes of Plymouth, so I'm guessing that it's from The Plymouth newspaper. There was no date on the article. K.R.}
