On Friday – the day which marks the fiftieth anniversary of their maarriage – Mr. and Mrs. Reno (sic, Richard) Federwisch of Sheboygan Faalls will hold open house for their friends from 7 to 9 p.m.

An advance celebration of the golden wedding anniversary was held on Sunday, at which the couple was honored at a reception given in the afternoon by their children on the lawn of the Federwisch home. The reception was followed by a dinner served to 50 guests at St. Paul's Lutheran church parlors at Sheboygan Falls.

Guests were seated at tables attractively appointed in gold and white and the main table at which the couple sat was centered with a large wedding cake. Flowers in shades of gold completed the table decorations.

During the dinner, a program was presented with Arthur Messner, Jr., serving as toastmaster. Among the numbers were a recitation by Lavern Johanning and Irene Federwisch; a German recitation by John Federwisch; a piano solo, `Silver Threads Among the Gold,' Herbert Messner; song, `Jesus Still Lead On,' Harold Federwisch, Donald Messner and Richard Wapp; German reading, Mrs. Johanning. A toast was given by Mrs. Gust Hering, close friend of the couple and the Rev. Edward Albertin, pastor of St. Paul's church, gave an appropriate talk.

In the evening cards were played and Marvin Johanning entertained with piano accordion music. The couple was presented with a gift of money from the group, the presentation being made by the oldest grandchild, Harvey Hahn of Manitowoc.

Mr. and Mrs. Federwisch were married Aug. 11, 1889, in St. Paul's Lutheran church at Sheboygan Falls by the Rev. John M. Hieber. Their attendants were Miss Emma Kuehn, now Mrs. John Kerskamp of Plymouth, and August Schlegelmilch, now deceased. Mrs. Federwisch, nee Emma Fenner, was born Nov. 16, 1870, in the town of Sheboygan Falls. Mr. Federwisch, who was born in Erfert, Germany, Dec. 5, 1866, came to this country at the age of 21 and worked on the George Berry farm. He continued farming until 18 years ago when he retired and the family moved to Sheboygan Falls.

Mr. and Mrs. Federwisch have six children: Mrs. Oscar (Alma) Hahn, Hilbert; Mrs. Arthur (Norma) Messner, Sheboygan; Reno, Jr., Mrs. Carl (Meta) Johanning, Plymouth; Carl and William, Sheboygan Falls. One daughter, Mrs. Joseph Wapp, nee Erna Federwisch, died.
