This Anniversary was contributed by: Kay

A large number of relatives and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Mangan, in the town of Mitchell, Thursday after noon and evening to extend congratulations and help the worthy couple to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of their wedding day in a way long to be remembered. If made to order the day could not have been more perfect, and the beautiful October weather was only typical of the happiness and good will which struck the keynote for the merry chiming of silver wedding bells.

Miss Catherine Hughes and Thomas Mangan united in marriage Oct. 22, 1889, and are among the most highly esteemed residents of the county. They have three children, James, the oldest son is married and lives on a farm in the town of Mitchell and John and Tessie are still at home.

Among those who attended were Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Rooney and children and Miss Agnes Rooney of Plymouth; Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Rooney of Milwaukee; Mrs. Ed. Cooney and daughter, Kathleen, of Appleton, and the family of James Hughes of Sheboygan.
