at his home. He is survived by one son, Thomas Lee Alderman of Alexandria;
one daughter, Tammy Lynn Alderman of Herndon; his mother, Verna Boyd
Alderman of Meadows of Dan; two brothers, Wayne Alderman of Sparta, N.C.,
and Kelly Alderman of Falls Church; two sisters, Elsie Quesenberry of
Mechanicsville, Md., and Bonnie Martin of Willis; two grandchildren,
Brittany Marie Alderman, and Ashley Nicole Alderman. Funeral services will
be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Green Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev.
Nathan Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in the Alderman Family
Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the
Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd.

of Dan, Va., passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Goad; mother, Iowa Jane
Moles Goad; brothers, Dennis Goad and Lerty Goad; and sisters, Tressie
Burnett, Lola Agee, and Nellie Goad.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Iowa Goad and
Charles E. Pearson.
Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at
the Goad Family Cemetery. Arrangements by Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd.

Agee, 91, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2001. She was the widow
of Dennis P. Goad and predeceased by a son, Houston E. Goad. Mrs.
Goad was a member of Hollins Road Baptist Church. Surviving are her
daughter, Nelda P. "Polly" Stanley; sons and daughters-in-law, C.
E. and Margie Goad, Willard and Barbara Goad, all of Roanoke; 12
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a
sister, Beatrice Edwards of Martinsville. Funeral services will be
conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2001 from Oakey's North Chapel. The
Rev. Mark Washington will officiate. Interment will be in the Goad Family
Cemetery, Floyd County. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until
service time Saturday at Oakey's North Chapel.

four daughters, Mrs. J. E. Burnette, Mrs. Wilson Agee, Miss Nellie Goad,
Miss Delpha Goad; two sons, Dennis Goad and Lerty Goad; one brother, Cova
Goad, Keystone, W. Va.,
and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Moles, Princeton, W. Va.
Nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also
survive.
