HILLSVLLE, Va. Mable Marie Branscome, 76, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Branscome was born in Carroll County to the late Claude and Sarah Webb Spangler. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Branscome; and son, Billy Kenneth Branscome. Survivors include her children and spouses, Tommy and Jennifer Branscome of Willis, Phyllis Ann Alderman of Hillsville, Jerry Edward Branscome of Willis, Nelson Eugene and Sandra Branscome of Woodlawn, Amanda and Mike Duncan of Willis, and Mable Elizabeth and Donnie Vaught of Maryland; sister and brother-in-law, Vivian and Paul Gravley of Woodlawn; seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild. A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with the Rev. Howard Nester officiating. Burial followed in the Branscome Cemetery in Willis. The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the funeral service. A guestbook is available online by visiting www.vaughanguynnandmcgrady.com. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
