Christina Walters Boswell was the daughter of Jacob Walters and Hannah Iddings.

She married Bird Robert Boswell on 4/10/1855 in Floyd County, VA.

She died between 1905 and 1906. Mark Bennett found her estate settlement in Greene County, TN records.

Her grave has eroded and is buried near the church. Her great-granddaughter showed Mark Bennett where the grave was located.

David Lee Walters Sr., 80, of Goodview, died suddenly on Monday, September 3, 2012. David is fondly remembered by those closest to him as a wonderful Daddy, Pops, and Paw Paw, the Story teller. David was born and raised in Salem, Va., (East Bottom). Mr. Walters was preceded in death by his always and forever wife of 56 years, Helen Marie Walters. 

David worked for many years at Elliot Delivery Service and Kroger Bakery before his retirement in January 2000, where he then faithfully took care of his wife during her battle with diabetes. He was a proud United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict where he was awarded the Purple Heart for his service and valor. Mr. Walters enjoyed fishing trips to the Outer Banks with his sons and grandsons in his retirement years. 

Of all his accomplishments, Mr. Walters was most proud of his family. He is survived by his children, Brenda L. (John) McDaniel, David (Sherry) Walters Jr., Russell Walters, Ricky (Robin) Walters, Wayne (Kathy) Walters, Mike (Carol) Walters, and Janet Gibbs. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kathy Johnson, Irene, Jonathan (Kim) Booth, Nathan and Rhagan, Keith Chumbley, Ryleigh and Addison, Emilee McDaniel, Amy (Jason) McMurphy, Josiah and John David, Jenny Walters, Timothy Walters, Kierra Walters, Dustin (Shannon) Walters, Amber Walters, Tabitha Walters, Jessica (Dean) Motley, Logan, Stephanie Walters, Michael Walters II, Stuart (Bethany) Gibbs, Julianne and Jackson, Brandy Gibbs, Casey Gibbs, and Jesse Gibbs. He is survived by sisters, Gertrude Robertson and Carol Cale; and sisters-in-law, June Altizer, Barbara Mullins, and Linda (Carlton) Short. 

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Lotz Salem Chapel with Pastor Brian Gordon and Pastor Robert Moore officiating. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the DAV Post #3 at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at the funeral home.

George W. Walters, 87, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 11, 2013. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army, and later retired as a grader with Harris Hardwood after 40 years. His church membership was held at Peters Creek Church of the Brethren and he enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.

Preceding him in death were his parents; as well as all of his siblings. His surviving family includes his wife of 67 years, Clara Mills Walters; son, Glenn Mills and wife, Dora; step-grandchildren, Diane Dean, Jackie Harless, Linda Basham, and Lisa Sowers; sister-in-law, Ruby Conner; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

A two hour period of visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, beginning at 5 p.m. and will immediately be followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. in the John M. Mrs. Maggie Harris Walters, 73, of Christiansburg died Saturday in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. 

She was the widow of Kemper Martin Walters Sr.

She was born April 15, 1899 in Floyd Co., the daughter of the late Abraham and Delia H (unknown) Harris.

Surviving are three sons, Kemper M Walters, Garden Grove, Calif.; Martin W. Walters, Dublin and Maurice H. Walters, Lebanon; two sisters, Mrs. Hessie Collins, Pembroke; Mrs. Lew Marshall, Modewa, Pa. and seven grandchildren.

The funeral is being held at 2 p.m. today from Stickler's Funeral Chapel, Christiansburg, with the Rev. Raymond S. Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Cemetery, Fairlawn. Friends are calling at Strickler's Chapel, Christiansburg.
