Sowder, died yesterday at her home on the Hershberger Road, Roanoke County. She is survived by eight children: C.H. Sowder, Petersburg; J.W. Sowder, Salem; E.A. Sowder, Roanoke; S.M. Sowder, Logan, WVA; Mrs. G.M. Aldridge, Mrs. Mamie Beckner; Mrs. C.P. Aldridge; Roanoke; and Mrs. L.B. Lester, Cambria. Also surviving are a brother, S.B. Hancock of Copper Hill; 27 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon. Interment will be in the Evergreen.
