Feb 2005 Hello Barbara, I descend from the families listed above and I have some additional information for you and few questions if you care to include in this site. I am the Great Great Grandson of Miranda Jane Muncy. You have here middle name listed as June but it is Jane. Miranda Jane Muncy born 1866, married William Alexander Brammer s/o John Brammer and Sarah Jane Wood Brammer. They were married in 1888 in Hinton, Summers County, West Virginia. They lived on a farm in Odd, Raleigh County, West Virginia until they moved (1912) to a large house in Mabscott, Raleigh County, West Virginia. Miranda Jane Muncy Brammer died in 1943 and is buried in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Mt. Tabor, Raleigh County, West Virginia. (Near Beckley). Miranda and William had the following Children: 1. Stasie Emeline Brammer Gadd (My Great Grand Mother) Born 1890 died 1961. Her middle name came from her maternal grandmother Emeline Wilson Muncy. 2. Edgar Brammer 3. Boone Burke Brammer 4. & 5. Rosa and Mintie Brammer (twins). Rosa married Ira Whitlock and died in 1916. Camp Creek, Mercer County, West Virginia. 6. Martha Mae Brammer 7. Ethel Alma Brammer Boalt. -- Miranda’s brother, George Muncy lived in Oak Hill, Fayette County, West Virginia and is buried in Highlawn Cemetery, Oak Hill, Fayette County West Virginia. --- Many of the Light descendants moved to Fayette County as well and are listed in the phone book to this day. --- Susanah Hathaway, wife of Leonard Hathaway (Irish descent) is said to have been an Indian woman. Family info handed down through the generations. --- Question…. We have never been able to prove the parentage of Elijah Muncy. You have Luke and Olivia (Livy) Muncy as his parents. Can you tell me where you found this info. (Marriage record) It would really close a gap in my research as there were more than one Elijah Muncy’s in Floyd and Montgomery Counties.
