her race and finished her course and received her crown of righteousness. She
was born December 15, 1905 to the late Oriet and Leliah Kitterman Correll.
Ora was the oldest member of New Haven Baptist Church. She was preceded in
death by her husband, W.S. Bub Brammer; infant son, Ben; and daughter-in-law,
Eula Brammer. She is survived by her children and spouses, Clifton Brammer of
Floyd, Jack and Helen Brammer of Richmond, Billy and Iva Ruth Brammer of
Floyd, Betty and Bud Slusher of Floyd, Sue and Ronald Young of Fincastle, and
Ed and Rachel Brammer of Ridgeway; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two
great-grandchildren; and twelve great-greatgrandchildren. Funeral services
will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2007 at New Haven Baptist
Church with the Rev. Leon Wood, the Rev. Joseph Falls and the Rev. Ronald
Young officiating. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery. Friends may
call after 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Gardner Funeral Home where
the family will be from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the donations can
be made to New Haven Baptist Church or Floyd County Rescue Squad.

at St. Clara's Hospital, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Sheets

Cemetery. He was born in Christiansburg, Va., Feb. 22,
1876. He married Esna Altizer in Virginia in December, 1897, and they came to
Illinois 31 years ago. The wife and following children survive: Clara,
Frances, Florence, Marion, Leo, Walter, and Margaret, all of Lincoln. His
father; two sisters: Mrs. Nate Baham and Mrs. E. J. Altizer of Virginia; and

Correll ocurred [sic] at his residence
Saturday evening at 6:30 o'clock. Mr. Correll was in his usual health a short
time before his death. He had left his home, and was working in a field,
where he was found by his wife in a sinking condition. He was carried home
and lived only a short while, heart disease being the cause of his death. Mr.
Correll was sixty-eight years old. He was a minister in the Dunkard church, a
true Christian, and an upright citizen. He was a member of the Fifty-fourth
Virginia regiment during the war, and was a brave and efficient soldier, and
saw much service. He was a colorbearer for his regiment. Mr. Correll was
married twice, his first wife being a Miss Wickham [SSS note - Hannah Jane
Wickham], of Pilot. From this union there were ten children--Messrs. C.S. E.
E., George, Rastus, and Caleb and Mrs. Brinda Madison, Mrs. Lilly Hamblin,
Mrs. Sarah Graham, Mrs. Dora Graham, and Miss Pearl. Mr. Correll is survived
by his last wife, who was a Miss Weaver. The body will be buried in the
