She was the widow of the Rev. Clifton James Peyton. Born in Roanoke, Dec. 16, 1910 she was the daughter of the late Dennis H. Clower and Mellie Ann Lawrence Clower. A music instructor, she was a graduate of Holmes Theological Seminary, Greenville, SC, and the St. Louis Institute of Music. St. Louis, MO. She was a faculty member of both institutions. Surviving are two sons, Wesley E. Peyton, Wheaton, MD, and Roger D. Peyton, San Francisco, CA; two sisters, Mrs. Marvin E. Parrish, Toledo, OH, and Mrs. Effie C. Lovern, Salem, and two grandchildren, Wesley E. Peyton Jr., and Christopher Dwayne Peyton, both of Wheaton, MD. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Walter L. Wood Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Virginia Conference of the Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery, Dublin.
