Loretta Anne Sowers, 87, died
Dec. 26 at her home in Catlett.
She was predeceased by her
husband, Chimer Davis Sowers.
Mrs. Showers was the
proprietress of Loretta's Weaving Shop at 13th and H Streets, N.W.,
Washington, D.C. Among her clients was President John F. Kennedy, for whom
she did monogramming. She retired to Fauquier County in 1978.
Survivors include a
sister, Madalene Belcher of Floyd County; a brother, Carlos Bower of Catlett;
and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held
Dec. 29 in the chapel at Moser Funeral Home. Interment was at Stonewall
Memory Gardens, Manassas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association.

Madalene Bower
Belcher, 94, of Floyd, joined her loving husband, Grant Belcher, Sunday,
April 19, 2015 to be together forever in their Heavenly home. They were
married 70 ½ years prior to his death in 2009.
Left
to cherish her wonderful memories is her loving daughter, Narlene Dulaney,
of Christiansburg, Va; her special family include her granddaughter,
Sonya (Booie) DeHart, of Christiansburg; grandson, Travis Dulaney, of
Plantation, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Tanner DeHart, Skyler Dehart, Bryce
DeHart, of Christiansburg and Justin Dulaney and Dylan Dulaney, of
Plantation, Fla.
Mrs.
Belcher was known throughout the area for her ability to grow any type of
flowers, which she loved to share. She was a wonderful wife, mother and
grandmother and will be missed greatly.
Her
smile and giggles will be always remembered at Highland Ridge Nursing Home,
where she was so lovingly cared for during the past 5 years.
Funeral
service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Red Oak Church
of the Brethren with the Rev. Hebron Quesenberry officiating with interment
in the Sunset Cemetery. Family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday,
April 21, 2015 at Maberry Funeral Home.

Carlos Rudence Bower,
86 of Catlett, VA passed away on April 16, 2014 at his home. He was born on
October 11, 1927 in Floyd County, VA a son of the late Troy Bower and Aggie
Sowers Bower. Mr. Bower was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army
Air Corps. He and his wife were the founders and owner/operators of Warrenton
Auto Service which is still a family business today. He is survived by his
wife, Ruth Bower; three sons, Norman Bower, Amissville, VA, Michael and
Kem Bower both of Catlett; one sister, Madalene Belcher, Floyd, VA;
four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The family will receive
friends on Thursday from 7-9 PM at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton where
funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25th at 11:00 AM. Rev. Dr.
Edward Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory
Gardens, Manassas. Memorial contributions may be made to Capital Caring,
2900 Telestar Court, Falls Church, VA 22042.
