Research Notes by Ann Sutherland Apr 2019:

“I, too, have looked for Raymond Akers, but without success. He married Bernice Dobbins (daughter of James Kyle) in Bristol Tennessee on December 13, 1923.  They separated in 1933 and finally divorced 9-10-1952. I think he may have died in West Virginia only because that is the last place I found him. The next time I’m at the Library of Virginia, I’ll see if there is any information about him in the obituaries of his siblings. I can remember Mother and Mary talking about him, but too much time has past for me to remember what they said.”
