Dies on His Wedding Day.
Chicago.-- While preparing for his wedding Dr. Samuel B Crawford, 32 years
old, died suddenly at the home of his prospective bride, Mrs. Rose Sykes.
Dr. Crawford had been living at the Sykes home for several years. The
wedding had been set for Wednesday. Mrs Sykes was in her room donning her
wedding garments when she heard a moan from Dr. Crawford's room. Hurring to
the room, she found him laying on the floor scarcely able to speak. A
physician was immediatly summoned, but Dr. Crawford died within a few
minutes.

Stephan Mott is Summoned.
Stephan Mott one of the first settelers of American Fork, answered a final
summond early last Saturday morning, after a well spent and useful life, being
in his eighty-fifth year, of which fifity-five years have been passed in this
city.
The funeral services were held in Science hall Monday afternoon. The stand and
pulpit was bvantllnlly dec- for the occasion.
The Old Folks choir opened the service by singing "Rest on the Hillside"
Washborn Chipman was the first speaker, he spoke of inciens in the early life of
deceased. The Leffier fmaily quartet then sang "When the Angles have lifted the
Veil" The next two speakers being George Cunningham and Wm. Grant.
Miss Nan Thornton then saned a solo "Guide Me to Thee" after which L. P. Lund
dwelt at lenght on the life work of the departed, and his service ding the Black
Hawk war. Biship W. B. Smith also spoke on the life of the deceased folowed by
the closing hymn "Farewel all Earthley Honors" by the choir. The benediciton was
provided by President S. L. Chipman.
