The following events are for
the Cameron and surrounding area by KMIL - 105.1 FM Shooter, and
local Chamber of Commerce:
Weekly & Monthly Events:
- The Milam
Regional Farmer's Market will be held the 2nd and 4th Saturdays
in March through November from 9am to 1pm at The Yards of Cameron.
- There
will be fresh produce, meat, eggs, bread, and other baked goodies along
with artisians, mushroom logs, crafts, woodworking, and much more.
- The Farmers Market at 2103 N. Travis in
Cameron is held every Friday & Saturday from 7am - Noon.
- Every first & third
Tuesday of each month, Blessings from GOD food Pantry will
distribute food to citizens.
- The first Tuesday hours are: 6PM to 8PM
- The third Tuesday hours are:
8AM to 10AM
- Every first & third
Tuesday of each month,
Standards of Care will be at Bea's Kitchen located at 101 East Main
Street, at 10:30AM for free blood sugar & blood pressure checks.
- Every second and fourth Monday
of each month, Crafting Galore will meet from 12:30pm t0 4pm at the
First United Methodist Church Family Life Center in Cameron at 111 N.
Travis. This is a community gropu and open to anyone who is
working on a craft or would like to share how their ideas, or looking
for ideas. Please use the side door and bring a small snack
to
share - coffee and tea are available.
- Every Wednesday
of each month, join the Cameron Library for Books to Grown on Story
Time at 10:30AM.
- Every first &
third Saturday, the Milano Playboys play free music at the
Senior Citizens Center in Christman (located between Milano &
Caldwell).
- Every Thursday and and
third Saturday, Jimmie Maze and the Milano Playboys
perform at the Christmann Community Center from 7-9PM.
- Every last Saturday
of the month, the Milano Jamboree will be held at the Milano Senior
Citizens Center at 7PM.

All
day a full library with books and materials brought from the TCGS
Temple office library will be accessible. There will be
an open floor plan during Saturday’s program which means you can sit in
the library/book area doing genealogy research and
also be able to view and hear the speakers and all presentations. Many
useful books, including genealogy research books, maps,
surname lists and much more, will be available. Most importantly,
knowledgeable workers will be available to assist you with
your genealogical research. There will be a Silent Auction and Czech
Gift Shop.
Registration: Includes morning refreshments and catered lunch.
