Services for McKinley Barnes of Bay City will be held in Bethel Baptist Church at 1 p. m. March 10, 1984, with the Rev. L. C. Cunningham officiating.

Mr. Barnes, 83, was born in Pledger on Dec. 31, 1900. He was the son of Richard Barnes and Mamie Amey Barnes, who preceded him in death. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a resident of Bay City. He died in Matagorda General Hospital on March 8, 1984.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lenora Barnes of Bay City; three sons, Thomas Barnes of Alvin, Richard and McKinley Barnes Jr. of Bay City; two sister, Mrs. Beulah Thomas of Bay City and Mrs. Bessie Spradley of Pledger; one brother, Jimmie Barnes of Bay City; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation hours will be from 3 - 9 p. m. today in the Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel, and from noon to 1 p. m. Saturday in Bethel Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Union Baptist Cemetery in Pledger. Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Richard Barnes, 61, of Bay City, Texas passed away August 24, 1995 at his residence.

He was born to McKinney and Lenora Spradley Barnes in Bay City.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Ophelia "Chuck" Barnes of Bay City and five daughters & sons-in-law: Patricia and Gary Barrs of Tennessee, Sharon and Joe Brown and Tracy Williams of Bay City, Texas, Lou Ella Williams of Sugarland, Texas, Joy Matthews of Columbus, Texas. Five sons and daughters-in-law Richard McKinney Barnes, DeAndre Barnes and Kenneth Brown of Bay City, Texas, Mark Glen Barnes & Delores of San Antonio, Texas, Greg Williams and Annette Williams of Dallas, Texas. Two brothers & sisters-in-law Thomas & Maggie Barnes of Alvin, Texas, and McKinney Barnes, Jr., of Cedar Lane, Texas. 21 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a. m. at Bethel Baptist Missionary Baptist Church Monday, August 28, 1995, with Rev. DeAndre Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Cemetery in Pledger, Texas. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, friends may visit the family Sunday night from 7:00 to 9:00 p. m. Mr. Barnes will lie in state at the church Monday morning from 10:00 a. m. to 11:00 a. m.

Funeral services for A. B. Bogan, 77, of Boling, Texas will be Monday, April 2, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church in Pledger, Texas with the Rev. E. Bonner Pastor and the Rev. W. W. Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Cemetery in Pledger. A. B. will lie in state at the church Monday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Green's Mortuary.

A. B. Bogan was born to the union of Joseph and Mary Jane Matthews Bogan on January 9, 1924 in Wharton, Texas.

He passed away at his residence on March 28, 2001 in Boling, Texas.

He is survived by: two daughters, Sharon James of Pledger, Texas and Stella Steele of Texas City, Texas; two sons, Charles James of Boling and Richard Wiley of Houston; four sisters, Rose Smith and Elijah of La Marque, Texas, Ethel Jackson of Texas City and Dorothy Stanley and Nazareth of Texas City, Annie Small and William of Texas City; two brothers, Ernest Bogan of Boling and Henry Bogan of Texas City; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

His parents preceded him in death, also a sister, Leola Bogan and a brother, Clifford Bogan.

Active pallbearers are Raymond Jackson, Roosevelt Bogan, Roy Jackson, Norman Miller, Ernest Bogan, Jr., Carlton Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Ernest Bogan, Nazareth Stanley, William Small, and Elijah Smith.

Greens Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
