Mrs. Rachel Lee Hickey The death angel visited the home of Mr. P. A. Hickey on December 2, 1927, and carried away his beloved and devoted wife, Mrs. Rachel Lee Hickey, to that home above—a home that is prepared for all that stores away sweet spiritual treasure for that great judgment day, where there will be no sorrow, but eternal joy to all who live a righteous life like Mrs. Hickey. Mrs. Rachel Lee Hickey was born July 28th, 1903, at Statesville, North Carolina; she moved to Texas with her parents in 1913; she was converted and joined the Methodist Church at Glenflora, Texas, in 1915, lead a continuous devoted Christian life. The Clemville community and church has lost one of its greatest Christians. She was a lovable woman, and to know her was to love her. The good deeds and her Christian life she leaves behind her will be a monument to a Christian life that will long be remembered by her friends and bereaved relatives. She has written her name in kindness, love, mercy on the hearts of all that she came in contact with year by year. She will never be forgotten by her friends. No, her name, her deeds will be as legible on the hearts she leaves behind as the stars on the bow of evening; her good deeds will shine as the stars of heaven. She was married to Mr. P. A. Hickey December 2, 1924. One of the saddest things of her death was that she died three years to a day of her marriage. May the Good Father comfort the broken heart of her dear companion, who in his grief is now living in memory over the sweet days of their beautiful married life. We commend him to God and the word of his grace. All of her friends extend their sympathy to the bereaved husband, father, mother and her two sisters. We realize we have lost one of our best and most lovable women. All we can hope for is to follow in the footsteps of Christ to meet her in the Great Beyond. A Friend. I. T. Taylor
