On his oath says that it is bona fide his intention to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign prince, potentate, state and Sovereignty whatever and particularly towards the King of Wittenbourgh of whom said Vogg is a subject and further that he has no order of nobility or heredity whatever. County court called meeting. Present Matthew Talbot, Chief Justice; William Hilliard and Samuel W. Hardeman, county commissioners. Andrew Eidlebach came and duly sworn said that he had resided within the U. S. for continued term of five years last-past and that for only year-last-past has resided in the State of Texas and had not attained the age of eighteen. He renounced all allegiance to the Duke of Nassau of whom he was a subject. Letter of citizenship was granted.
