BRYANT—Mrs. Lois, age 69, died in Galveston, Tex., on Aug. 19. Funeral service will be held at 1 p. m. Sunday at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Markham, Texas with the Rev. J. B. Allen officiating. Mrs. Bryant, a resident of Markham is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Esther Tellison of Gulfport, Miss., six granddaughters, six great-granddaughters. Two sisters, Mrs. Mary Patterson of Houston and Mrs. Dell Martin of Galveston and two brothers, both of Houston. Burial will be in Markham Cemetery, Markham, Texas. Mrs. Irene Burns, 77, of Markham died May 29 at the El Campo Memorial Hospital. Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Emily Williams of Markham; one son, Willie Boone of Bay City; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Otha Temple of Bay City; 22 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; one sister and brother-in-law, Mrs. A. R. Caston and Sam Caston of San Antonio. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 3, at 2:30 p. m. at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Markham with Rev. Rudolph Martin officiating. Visitation hours will be June 2 from 4-9 p. m. Interment will be at the Markham Cemetery with pallbearers being: Willie Boone Jr., Ralph Williams, Otto Williams, Sam Temple Jr., Michael Temple, and Herman Woolsey. The Daily Tribune, May-June 1979 Irene Harrison Burns On April 21, 1902, a baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Steve Harrison, who was named, Irene. She confessed Christ at an early age, under the leadership of Rev. Joe Wren of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. She later moved to Markham, Texas, and joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. James Harrison. There she remained a faithful member until her death. She served as Assistant Secretary, and later became Secretary of the church. She was faithful in all departments of the church. To know her was to love her. Her sweetness and smiling disposition won her many friends. She was always willing to help others. She's not dead, but sleeping in Jesus. She shall never die, but will be resting for the life where sickness nor sorrow shall never come. Irene departed this life on Tuesday, May 29, 1979 in the El Campo Memorial Hospital, El Campo, Texas. By her passing, she leaves one daughter, Mrs. Emily Williamson of Markham, Texas, one son, Willie Boone of Bay City, Texas, one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Otha Temple of Bay City, 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, one sister and brother-in-law, Mrs. A. R. Caston and Sam Caston of San Antonio, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral program
