Thomas Alliniece, 89, departed this life on Friday, July 19, 2002, at the Concord Personal Care Center.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, July 24 at noon followed by a funeral service at 2 pm at Bethel Baptist Church and burial in Eastview Cemetery under the direction of E.R. Johnson Family Mortuary.

Mr. Alliniece was born December 19, 1912 in Bay City.  He was a former longtime resident of Houston and recently moved to Galveston.  He was a retired chauffeur with Gulf Oil Co. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.

Survivors include his devoted niece Joanne Alliniece of Galveston; other nieces and nephews, Janice Taylor, Manager Alliniece, Gary Alieniece, Robert Alliniece, Fred Alliniece, and Robert Eric Alliniece; ex-wife Mary Collins Alliniece; sisters-in-law, Mary Alliniece and Quintanna Allniece; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Manger Alliniece, 51, died Friday March 27th in John Sealy Hospital, Galveston.  Funeral service is set for 2 pm Wednesday at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. L. C. Cunningham officiating.  Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Bay City.

Survivors: Five daughters, Mrs. Sonia Maria Roland, Paris France, Miss Oona Alliniece, Washington, D. C., Janice, Terry, Joann Alliniece, all of Galveston. Two sons; Manger Alliniece Jr. and Jimmie Alliniece of Galveston. Four brothers: Joseph, Lartress and Thomas Alliniece of Houston, Fred Alliniece, Galveston. Two Uncles: Johnson Collins, Galveston, Jack Collins, Dallas.  Two nieces: four nephews, a host of relatives and friend.  On Tuesday the friends of the Alliniece family in Galveston may view the remains at Strode-Armstrong Mortuary, 2728 Avenue H from 1:00 to 10:00 pm. The family will have a wake from 8-10 pm. Friends of the family in Bay City may view the remains Wednesday 9 am to 12:30 pm at Stevens and Son Funeral Home.  The body will lay in state at the church from 1-2 pm.

Stevens and Son Funeral Directors will be in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Charlie Frank Andrews, 77, of Bay City will be held at 11 am in the Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home Saturday, April 17, 1999, Rev. James Robertson officiating.  Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday until 9 pm in the chapel of Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.

Mr. Andrews was born in West Point, Tex., Dec 3, 1921 to Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Andrews.  He died Tuesday, April 12 at the VA Medical Center in Houston.  He was a retired laborer, working as a rancher and veteran of WWII.

Mr. Andrews is survived by his very special friends, Mattie Jean Barnes, Dorothy Doty, and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Flye all of Bay City.

Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.

Henry Armstead, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 pm in Tyree Chapel for Mr. Henry Armstead Jr.

Mr. Armstead, a native of Galveston, came to Bay City at the age of five.  He attended Hilliard and was inducted into the U. S. Army from here. His home was in Chicago, but he returned to Bay City several months ago.  He had been ill for some time.

Survivors are a wife, Anna Bell, a daughter, Faye; one brother, Odis of Cleveland Ohio, and five sisters, Mrs. Amey Jones and Mrs. Alma Robinson of Bay City; Mrs. Edith Gray, Evergreen, Ala.; Mrs. Marion McDaniel, Elizabeth, New Jersey and Mrs. Mildred Norman, Houston.

Interment will be at Eastview Cemetery.

Penn Funeral Home is in charge.

Ned Austin, Jr.

Funeral services for Ned Austin Jr., 74 of Bay City will be held at 1 pm Saturday at Enterprise Baptist Church, Bay City, with the Rev. A. H. Pointer officiating.  Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Bay City.

Visitation will be until 9 pm today at Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.

Mr. Austin was born June 14, 1911, in Hawkinsville, Texas, and died Dec. 9, 1985, at his residence.

He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include a daughter, Johnnie S. Glaspy of Bay City; a brother, Robert Austin of Bay City; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.
