Dorothy Helen James

Funeral services for Dorothy Helen James, 55, of Los Angeles, Calif., will be held at 1 pm Saturday at the First Sacred Memorial Christian Church in Bay City with the Rev. H. S. Williams officiating.  Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery.  Visitation hours are until 9 tonight and from noon until 1 pm at the First Sacred Memorial Christian Church.

Ms. James was born Jan. 26, 1932, in Matagorda County and died Aug. 12, 1987, at Martin Luther King Hospital in Los Angles.  She was a resident of Los Angles and a former resident of Bay City.

Survivors include: father, Moses Wilkerson; stepmother, Mrs. Bernice Wilkerson; brother, David Jackson; aunt, Mrs. Byrdella Spiller; uncles, John H. Simmons, C. H. Singleton and Donald R. Wilkerson, and a host of other relatives.

Active pallbearers include John Stone, Karl Stone, Carlton Stone, Ira Joe Edison, Jimmie Scott, Jr. and Frank Scott.

Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.
