PORT LAVACA - Elizabeth Ann Hardin, 71, of Port Lavaca, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014. She was born in Galveston County on July 9, 1943 to the late Erma Lee Campbell and Yancy Eugene Campbell. She is survived by her daughter, Nannette Arlene Ebrom of Victoria; sons, Troy Adam Hardin of Ft. Worth and Bryan Keith Hardin of Splendora; grandchildren, Mellissa Ebrom, Chance Ebrom, Seth Hardin, Parker Hardin, Jacquelyn Campos, Brianna Hardin, and Nicole Hardin; and great-grandchildren, Dalton Maguire, Gavin Maguire, Kirstyn Maguire, Joshua Peppers, Josiah Campos, Jiana Campos, and Brance Nevarez. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Corbit Fisher; sisters, Wanda Hardin, Lettia Knipp, and Linda Ellis; and brother, Jack Campbell. Funeral services for Wanda Hardin, 54, of Palacios, were held Nov. 10 at 2 p. m. at the Palacios Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Elree Smithart officiating. Interment followed at Francitas Cemetery. Mrs. Hardin was born May 23, 1936 in Palacios to the late Yancey E. and Erma Laxon Campbell and died Nov. 7, 1990 at Matagorda General Hospital in Bay City. Survivors include two daughters, Rachelle Calhoun of Vidor and Donna Dunn of Denver, Colorado; sisters, Linda Ellis of Palacios, Lottie Knipp of Port Aransas, and Elizabeth Taylor of Florida; and three grandchildren. Johnny B. Hudson, age 78, of Edna passed away on March 11, 2004. He was born on February 6, 1930 to the late John Preston and Maggie Frances Beasley Hudson in Haynesville, La. He is survived by his daughter Elaine Hudson; son, Stanley Hudson and wife Becky; grandson Brandon Hudson and wife Elayne of Edna; granddaughter Christie Clark and husband Barnnon of Edna; great-grandson Dustin Matthew Clark, all of Edna; and sister Melissa Mills of Porter. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce Koch Hudson; brothers Hubert and Jesse Hudson; and sister Exer Lucille DeLuish. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post 346 of Ganado, past-Post commander of the Korean Veterans Assoc. Inc., Victoria Chapter 223, and a member of Grace Church of Edna. Visitation will begin on Saturday at 11:00 a. m. at Triska Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. Edna—Joyce LaVerne Hudson, 66, of Edna, died Wednesday, May 19, 1999. She was born March 31, 1933, in LaWard, to the late Charlie Koch and Lillie Agnes Manning Koch. She was a homemaker and a Blue Bell volunteer at Jackson County Hospital. Survivors: husband, Johnny B. Albina Annie Walleck Joines, 89, of Francitas, Texas, gained her wings on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Albina was born on Thursday, August 24, 1933 to Carl R. and Alma Walleck. Albina married the love of her life, WR "Dub", on August 29, 1950 in Blessing, Texas. They were married for almost 71 years when he passed away in 2021. She is survived by daughters, Judy and husband Curtis Dykes; Penny Joines; sons, Jimmy and wife Kathy Joines and Clarence and wife Angie Joines. Also survived by their nine grandchildren. Will and Bree Joines, Travis and Cassie Dykes, Jennifer Joines and Tommy Dale, Blaine and Cadi Joines, Janet and Nick Tran, Lynette and Saby Hernandez, Sadie and Derek Girouard, Rebecca and Kolton Keith and Deanna and Cody Garza. Also their nineteen great-grandchildren, Clayton and Liam Joines, Grace and Emma Moulden, Jase and Allie Dykes, Cooper and Curtis James, "CJ" Girouard, Lien and Ethan Tran, Thomas, Benjamin, Rachel and Abigail Hernandez, Stetson Shimek, Sterling and Jacey Joines, Raelynn and Karlee Keith. Albina was a stay at home mom to their four children. She loved baking quilting, sewing, crocheting, puzzles, word search puzzles, fishing, watching her birds, and reading biographies of famous people. She enjoyed playing board games and Skip-Bo with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a passion for playing dominoes with family and friends. W R "Dub" Joines, 92 of Francitas, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. W R was born on August 14, 1929 to W R and Ada Joines. After graduating from LaWard High School, W R went to work for Alcoa and retired after 30 years of service. Upon his retirement, he was then able to become a fulltime rancher, his pride and joy was his cattle. Dub married the love of his life Albina Walleck in August 29, 1950 in Blessing Texas, they were married for almost 71 years. He is survived by his wife, Albina, daughters; Judy and husband Curtis Dykes, Penny Joines, sons; Jimmy and wife Kathy Joines and Clarence and wife Angie Joines. Also survived by his nine grandchildren; Travis and Cassie Dykes, Sadie and Derek Girouard, Will and Bree Joines, Janet and Nick Tran, Lynette and Saby Hernandez, Jennifer Joines and Tommy Dale, Blaine and Cadi Joines, Rebecca and Kolton Keith, and Deanna and Cody Garza, as well as his eighteen great-grandchildren; Jace Dykes, Allie Dykes, Cooper Girouard, Curtis James "C J" Girouard, Clayton Joines, Grace Moulden, Emma Moulden, Liam Joines, Lien Tran, Ethan Tran, Thomas Hernandez, Benjamin Hernandez, Rachel Hernandez, Abigail Hernandez, Stetson Shimek, Sterling Joines, Jacey Joines and Raelynn Keith. When he could find the time, he enjoyed fishing and running the occasional trot line. Anahuac—Alton H. Kelley, 76, of Anahuac, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000. He was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Needville, to the late Anthus and Glayds Laxson Kelley. He was a retired pot tender at Alcoa in Point Comfort and a member of First Baptist Church of Point Comfort. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post No. 8556 in Lolita and an Alcoa 25 year club member. Survivors: wife, Nora Louise Kelley; daughter, Phyllis M. Howell of Kelseyville, Calif.; son, Alton L. Kelley of Smith Point; sister, Hazel C. Funeral services for Lottie Campbell Knipp, 61, of Bandera, Tx.,
were held Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at the Palacios Funeral Home,
with the Rev. Tony Flores officiating. Interment followed at LaBauve
Cemetery in Francitas. Mrs. Knipp was born Feb. 18, 1941 in Palacios
to the late Yancey Eugene and Erma Lee Laxson Campbell. She died
Saturday, June 22, in San Antonio. A resident of Bandera for the
past six years, she was a former long time resident of Palacios and
had been employed as a waitress at Peterson's Restaurant. Survivors
include her husband, Martin Maurice Knipp II of Bandera; two
daughters, Gina Ellis of Palacios and Robin Harr of LaGrange; three
sons, Timothy Flores of Center, Mark Flores of Palacios and Russell
Flores of Smithville; two sisters, Linda Ellis of Palacios and
Elizabeth Hardin of Port Lavaca; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service for Hazel Koch, 90, of Palacios was held Tues. (July 21) at 2 p.m. at First Methodist Church in Palacios with Rev. David King and Pastor Louis Rush officiating. Hazel was born in Needville, Texas to Anthus and Gladys Kelley and she passed away July 17, 2015. Hazel will be remembered as a loving Mother, Me-Maw, MeMe and Aunt. Through all her years she was a positive, loving force in her family and extended family. Her passion was to attend every Shark and Sharkette sporting event her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren participated in. She will leave a big void for all those who knew her and will be missed dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Koch, sisters and brother. Funeral services for Robert William Koch, 63, of Palacios, will be held at 11 a. m. today (Wednesday), June 10, 1987 at the Palacios Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Francitas Cemetery in Francitas under the direction of Palacios Funeral Home. Koch died Sunday, June 7, 1987 in a Cuero hospital. A World War II Army veteran, he was born June 27, 1923 in Beulah [Buhler]. He was a life long resident of the Palacios community and a member of the American Legion. He had been employed with Alcoa Aluminum before his retirement. Surviving are his wife, Hazel Koch of Palacios; his mother, Bertha Koch of Port Lavaca; a daughter, Rita Cepak of Palacios; two sisters, Pearl Bozeman of Sweeny, Ruby Parrish of Olivia; a half-sister, Lydia Cheatham of Kountze; a half-brother, Johnny Koch of Palacios; and three grandchildren.
