James Henry Jackson James H. Jackson EDNA--Funeral services for James Henry Jackson, 19, of San Antonio, former Edna resident who died Monday evening after a shotgun accidentally discharged while he was hunting with two companions near Morales, will be held at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Edna. The Rev. B. W. Brooks will officiate, with burial in Hines Cemetery under direction of Cook Funeral Home. The youth was graduated Wednesday night from a San Antonio high school. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Emma Lee Kelly, of San Antonio; his father, Adolph Jackson, also of San Antonio; a sister, Miss Billie Jean Jackson of Edna, and his grandmother, Mrs. Rachel Hines of Edna. Pallbearers will be Raymond Gipson, A. D. Gipson, William Mitchell, Lawrence Prince, Charles Bryant and Pete Figueroa.

Joe Earnest Jones Joe E. Jones CORPUS CHRISTI--Joe Earnest Jones, 51, of Corpus Christi died Saturday March 23, 1996. He was born Sept 3, 1945, to Jimmie and Leanora Butler Jones. Mr. Jones was an aircraft engine mechanic for Corpus Christi Army Depot. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Survivors: wife, Rheba Jones; daughters, Sheree Jones, Ja'Neen Jones and Jennifer Jones all of Corpus Christi; son Troy Tillmon of Austin; sister, Patricia Jones of Houston; one grandchild. A wake will be from 7 - 9 p. m. tonight at Westhaven Baptist Church, in Corpus Christi. Services will be held at 10 a. m. Tuesday at the church, Rev. Clarence Jones officiating. Graveside service will be 2 p. m. at Hines Cemetery in Edna. Cook-Butler Funeral Home, Edna, 782-3821.

CORPUS CHRISTI - Lenora Jones of Corpus Christi, formerly of Edna, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009. She was born March 5, 1924, in Edna, to Steven Henry Butler Sr. and Serwiller Hines Butler Turner. She was a retired custodian with the U. S. Government and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She is survived by her parents, sister, Nettie R. Washington of San Diego, Calif.; brother, Roosevelt D. Butler of Lakewood, Wash.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a. m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1202 Sam Rankin St., in Corpus Christi, the Rev. Tony J. Bell officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p. m. at Hines Cemetery in Edna. SAN ANTONIO - Emma Kelly, of San Antonio, passed away
Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the age of 85. She was born in Morales
on March 18, 1927, to the late Henry and Rachel Diggs Hines. Emma was a
retired housekeeper and enjoyed spending time with her family and
friends.
