| Marijohn was born in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma on 2 November 1936, to the late Ollie and Vivian (Vaughn) Smith. She
passed away on 14 April 2014, at Victoria Gardens in Allen Texas. She
married Bobby Adlof on 31 August 31 1953 in El Paso, Texas. They were married
for 57 years when Mr. Adlof passed away in February 2011. Marijohn was a
devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St.
Mary's Catholic Parish, Sherman, Texas She was preceded in
death by her parents and her husband, Bobby Adlof. Mrs. Adlof is
survived by two sons, Phillip Adlof and wife Jennifer of Blue Ridge, Texas and
Paul Adlof and wife Shelly of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Debra Sudderth of
Sherman; ten grandchildren, Kaitlin Adlof, Jeremy Sudderth, Amber Arnett,
Kristin Carlin, Michael Adlof, Christopher Adlof, Preston Speers, Parker Adlof,
and Jordan Adlof; and five great great grandchildren, Colten Carlin, Verscaje
Springfield, Killion Springfield, Kiley Carlin, and Kameron Adlof. A
Rosary was recited by Marijohn's nephew, Mr. Jim Adlof at Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman. Mass of
Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. Jeremy
Myers, Pastor officiating with Rev. Antonio Aureus as
co-celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery with Mrs.
Adlof's grandsons serving as palbearers. |
| Bobby
was born in Sherman, Texas to the late Hugo and Ruby (Jackson) Adlof.
He passed away at Medical Center of McKinney, Mc Kinney, Texas. Following high school, Bobby served in the US Army. On 31 August 1953 he married Miss Marijohn Smith in El Paso, Texas. Mr. Adlof worked in masonry construction and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in McKinney. He was very fond of his grandchildren and the times he got to spend with them. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David Paul Adlof and James Adlof; and two sisters Margaret Buchanan and Velma Adlof. Mr.
Adlof is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marijohn of Blue Ridge,
Texas; two sons, Phillip Adlof and wife Jennifer of Blue Ridge and Paul
Adlof and wife Shelly of McKinney; one daughter, Debra Suddereth of
Blue Ridge; and ten grandchildren, Kaitlin Adlof, Jeremy Sudderth,
Amber Arnett, Kristin Carlin, Michal Adlof, Christopher Adlof, Zachary
Adlof, Preston Speers, Parker Adlof, and Jordan Adlof; and three great
grandchildren, Colten Carlin, Verscaje Springfield, and Killion
Springfield. Rosary was recited at Waldo Funeral Home. A
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church,
Sherman. Rev. Bruce Bradley of St. Michael's Catholic Church in
McKinney officiated |
| Velma
was born in Sherman, Texas the daughter of Herman Hugo Jr. and Ruby Lee
Jackson Adlof. She passed away at the Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in
Sherman. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, David Paul Adlof and James Adlof; and one sister Margaret Buchanan. Left
to mourn her passing and cherish her memories, Velma is survived by her
brother, Bobby C. Adlof and wife Marijohn of McKinney; sister-in-law,
Mary Adlof of Sherman; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces,
great-nephews and her church family and friends. A Rosary was recited at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel, Sherman, by Deacon John LeBlanc, St Mary's Catholic Parish, Sherman. Mass
of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with
pastor Reverend Jeremy Myers presiding, assisted by Reverend Antonio
Aureus, and Deacon LeBlanc. Pallbearers were her nephews, Jim Adlof, Kevin Adlof, Kent Adlof, Paul Adlof, Phillip Adlof, and Bryan Adlof. Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman. |
