passed away November 5, 2012 in Farmersville. She was born March 1,
1940
in Pinnacle, North Carolina the daughter of Howard and Lotty Chilton Westmoreland. She married Vernon Burgess June 2, 1958 in El Paso,Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Nobility Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Vernon of Blue Ridge, Texas and son Robert L. (Bobby) Burgess and wife Jennifer of Leonard, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Joshua Burgess, Jeremy Burgess, Jonathan Burgess, and Jacoby Burgess. Also surviving is a daughter in law; Jan Burgess of Leonard and her sisters; Linda Hill and husband Kenneth of King, North Carolina, Joan King and husband Stan of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina and Roamie Tilton and her husband Gary of Pinnacle, North Carolina. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Ashley and Rev. Elmer Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Cross Roads Cemetery in Blue Ridge. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Hurst's Fielder Baker Funeral Home in Blue Ridge, Texas.
