WHITEWRIGHT - Services for Dea Thompson of Desert, 88-year-old retired farmer who died Friday in Texoma Medical center in Denison, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Earnheart Funeral Home Chapel.
Dr. James C. Gilbert will officiate and burial will be in Cross Roads Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson was born in Fannin County, the son of Gaberal Lee Thompson and Pearl Ingram Thompson, and married Hattie F. Walker Dec. 22, 1919, in Grayson County.  He was a member of Cross Roads Presbyterian Church and was a
World War I veteran.

Surviving are his wife; sons, Billy Dea Thompson, Charles Ray Thompson and Gerry Thompson, all of Desert; daughter, Dora Le Kelley of Desert; brother Marion Thompson of Leonard; and two grandchildren.

Whitewright - Services for Hattie Walker Thompson, 97-year-old housewife of the Desert community who died Saturday
at her residence, were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Earnheart Funeral Home Chapel.  
Dr. James Gilbert officiated, and burial was in Crossroads Cemetery in Collin County.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Desert, the daughter of William C. Walker and Dora Ann Cowart Walker, and married Dea Thompson on December 22, 1919, in Grayson County.  She was a member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her sons, Billy D. Thompson, Charles R. Thompson and Gerry L. Thompson, all of Desert; daughter, Dora
Lee Kelley of Desert; sister, Foy Coggins of Whitewright; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Larry White, Charles Wild, Jim Saltzman, Lonnie Norvell, Jimmy Frazier and Billy Brummett.
