Thursday April 19, 1962 pg 5 Roy Lee Parks Passes Away In Local Hospital Roy Lee Parks, 69, of Route 2, Anna, died Saturday night in Wysong Hospital after an extended illness. He was born September 17, 1892 and was a member of the Baptist Church. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Westminister Baptist Church, conducted by Revs. W. R. Murley of Ft. Worth and Glen Mathews of Anna, with burial in Desert Cemetery, Turrentine-Jackson Funeral Directors in charge. Surviving are six sons; J. W. Roy Jr. and Jerry Parks of Celina; Arlin and Willie Parks of Dallas and Odell Parks, Garland; daughter Mrs. Mabron Hendricks of Denton; three brothers, Bud and Oscar Parks, Oklahoma; Will Parks, McKinney; sister, Mrs. Nora Short, Westminster; 185 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
