SERVICES FOR ROY M. ALLEN
Services
were held Monday for Roy M. Allen, 78, retired Van Alstyne
electrician. Mr. Allen died at a Sherman hospital on Saturday,
December 24, 1977. Services were held at the First Baptist Church
in Van Alstyne, conducted by Rev. J.A. Moody and Rev. Jerry Scott.
Burial was at Cannon Cemetery.
Mr.
Allen was born in Cannon, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Allen. He married Juanell Douglas on July 20, 1968, in Van
Alstyne. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He
is survived by his wife; step-son, Douglas of Plano; brothers, Howard
Allen of Plano and Tommy Allen of Denver, Colo.; sisters, Mrs. Faye
Hill of Tom Bean, Mrs. Lois White of Van Alstyne, Mrs. Glenna Dean
Higginbotham of Albuquerque, N.M. and Mrs. Helen Jean Morgan of
Killeen; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were C.L. Simon, Perry Neill, R.J. Elliott, Jerry Moody, Robert Veazey and Frank Jordan |
