W. W. Brown 1861 - 1941 Lounetta D. Brown 1876 - 1965 Van Alstyne Leader Friday, September 16, 1965 MRS. LOUNETTA BROWN Funeral services for Mrs. Lounetta Brown were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 in the Church of Christ here, conducted by the minister, Guy T. Cosand, and Rev. Tom Haley of the Christian Church. Pallbearers were her grandsons. Interment was in the Cannon cemetery, under the direction of Flesher Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown passed away at her home here Monday. She was born in Tennessee on June 17, 1876, a daughter of the late Alvin and Amanda Spears Stockton. She was united in marriage with W.W. Brown in 1899. He passed away in 1941. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. R. Purdom of Van Alstyne; by two sons: Charlie Brown of Sherman and Champ Marlin Brown of Dallas; by one sister, Mrs. Pearl Netherton of Mass, Tennessee; and by 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
