 The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, July 13, 1884 pg. 4 DEATH OF MRS. COBB Mrs. S.C. Cobb, wife of J.B. Cobb and mother of Dr. John A. Cobb, of this city, died at 8 o'clock Thursday morning at the age of 50 years. Mrs. Cobb was taken sick with pneumonia about twelve weeks ago, but her death resulted from a complication of diseases, which baffled the skill of our physicians. She was subject to an affection of the heart, which manifested itself during her last illness. Mrs. Cobb's family, consisting of four sons and one daughter, who were present when she passed away. Her remains were taken to Cannon cemetery, near the old family farm, for interment. Dr. Cobb and the other members of the family have our heartfelt sympathy in their bereavement.
