WIlson, 75, retired farmer who passed away at his home here Thursday morning were held Friday afternoon in the First Baptist Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J.D. Stewart, assisted by Rev. J.C. Ogg of Melissa. Interment was in the Cannon cemetery. He had been ill the past 5 months. Mr. Wilson was born in Texas on June 11, 1884, son of Mr. and Mrs. D.F. Wilson. Most of his life was spent in Collin County. He and his wife moved to Van Alstyne 6 years ago. He was united in marriage with Miss Clara C. Haynes in 1905 in Van Alstyne. He was a member of the Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by the following children: Mrs. H.L. Ashmore and Mrs. J.L. Cox of Mckinney; Mrs. Carl W. Barnes of Sherman; Mrs. R.C. Willis of Dallas; Clint WIlson of Ft. Worth; John C. and Verbert Wilson of McKinney; by 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Mr. Wilson was a kindly man and had many friends here and in Collin County who mourn his passing.
