Services for Ann Louise Welker, 73, of Van Alstyne, who died January 23, 1998 in Wilson N. Jones Regional Health System in Sherman, were held Monday afternoon, January 26, 1998 in Flesher Funeral Home Chapel.  Tom Haddox and Randall Casselman officiated.  Burial was in Cannon Cemetery.
Mrs. Welker was born August 26, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of Stanley Lallky and Ester Holmgren Lallky.  She attended high school in Seneca, Missouri and married Warren J. Welker in1940 in Grand, Kansas.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Van Alstyne.
Her father died at the age o 35 and she moved to Seneca, Missouri in 1934.  Upon Warren's return from 5 years of military service their home was established in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
After her children were nearly grown, she went to work in the school cafeteria as a cook and later became a manager at a grade school.  She then advanced to manager of Edison High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Upon Warren's retirement from Southwestern Bell in 1978, she resigned and they moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas in April of 1978.  They helped to establish the Bella Vista Church of Christ in 1979 and moved to Van Alstyne, Texas in January 1993.
Mrs. Welker loved and did various craft projects.  She liked to play golf and enjoyed card games, dominoes and all types of music.  She liked camping with the Good Sam RV chapter.
Mrs. Welker accepted Christ as her Lord in 1944 and was active in church work the remainder of her life.
Surviving are her husband of Van Alstyne, Texas; 2 sons, Lawrence Welker of Oswasso, Oklahoma; and Jack Welker of Bixby, Oklahoma; one daughter, Gretchen Renne of Van Alstyne, Texas;
5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gordon Lallky of Port Isabell, Texas.

Denison - Warren J. Welker, age 92, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2013 at Stone Brook Assisted Living in Denison, Texas. He was born on October 11, 1920 in Seneca, Missouri, to Clarence Jack and Edith Norris Welker.  After graduating from Seneca High School, he married Ann Louise Lallky on April 12, 1940 in Girard, Kansas.  He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1941, serving in Belgium and the Aleutian Islands during World War II, until his discharge in 1945.  Soon after his discharge, he and Louise moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he went to work for Southweatern Bell Telephone Company, working over 32 years and retiring as District Engineer in 1978.
Warren and Louise moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas, where they enjoyed golfing, camping, Razorback sports and the beauty of the Ozarks.  They became involved with the beginning of the Bella Vista Church of Christ, where they served and enjoyed many years of fellowship.  After 58 years of marriage, Louise passed away while living in Van Alstyne, Texas.  Warren soon moved back to Bella Vista to golf, and he once again became involved with his church.  He remarried a good friend of many years, Clara Dean Rorabaugh, and they enjoyed 9 years of Razorback basketball, short road trips, and church activities.  After Clara Dean's passing in 2007, Warren moved back to Texas to be closer to family.
Warren was preceded in death by wife, Ann Louise Welker; wife, Clara Dean Welker; his parents; 2 sisters, Zelpha Patton and Margie Clampitt; and a brother, Calvin Welker.
He is survived by sons, Larry Welker and wife, Donna, of Owasso, Oklahoma; Jack Welker and wife, Linda, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a daughter, Gretchen Renne and husband, Larry, of Van Alstyne, Texas; 5 gramdchildren, Mark Welker of Tulsa; Jodi Hough of Howe, Texas; Jenny Bien of Chandler, Texas; Tiffany O'Donnell of Bixby, Oklahoma; and Amber Fairless of Dallas, Texas; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and a brother, Norris J. Welker of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
A celebration of Warren's life was held Wednesday morning, February 6, 2013 at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas.  Interment followed at Cannon Cemetery, east of Van Alstyne.
