  Nancy Atkins Smith 22 January 1909 - 14 January 1979  Van Alstyne - Services for Nancy Jane Smith, 69, a retired seamstress who died Sunday in Ft. Worth, were held Tuesday afternoon at Flesher Funeral Chapel. Rev. Joel Pitts, a Pentecostal ministed, Rev. J.N. Johnson and Rev. Carol Norton officiated. Burail was at Cannon Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born in Kentucky, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Murley and was a member of the Van Alstyne Pentecostal Church. Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Neva Bell of McKinney and Mrs. joyce Law of Ft. Worth; son, Willie Atkins of Lake Dallas; stepson, Billy Don Smith of Whitesboro; step-daughter Mamie Jeanette Fields of Van Alstyne; sisters, Mrs. Ova Murley of Arcadia, California; Mrs. Della Hoover and Mrs. Dollie Young, both of Riverside, California; half-brothers, William Murley of Princeton and James Murley of Plano; and 9 grandchildren.
