Jones Hospital in Sherman, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in Flesher Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. John Wade will officiate. Mrs. Overton was born in Frederick, Okla., the daughter of Lee and Laura Hammond, and married Clyde Leon Overton on March 19, 1949, in Oklahoma City. She was a Baptist. Surviving are her son, Steven Overton of Dayton, Ohio; daughters, Debra Sue Overton of Stephenville and Laura Howard of Van Alstyne; brothers, Carlos Hammond of Gentry, Ark., and Leland Hammond of Sterling, Colo.; sisters, Iva Kirksey and Jane Burdi, both of Denver, Colo.; and six grandchildren.
