Anderson Sr. 86, a retired farmer who died Monday at a Sherman hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Flesher Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Don Griffith of the First Christian Church, Rev. Jerry Scott of the First Baptist Church and Rev. J.J. Gregory. Burial will be at the Cannon Cemetery. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Cannon. He married Addie Bledsoe September 1961 in Sherman. Surviving are his wife of Van Alstyne; daughters, Mrs. Dolly Holmes of Dallas and Mrs. Alma Hart of Rochester, N.Y.; son, J.L. Anderson Jr. of Van Alstyne; stepdaughters, Mrs. Alma Miller of Dallas, Mrs. Marie Henderson or Arvin, Calif., and Mrs. Bobbie Nell Tillett of Van Alstyne; brother, Linville B. Anderson of Van Alstyne; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday and at the home in Van Alstyne at other times.
