Gibson 24 March 1919 - 15 August 1937 The Whitewright Sun Thursday, August 19, 1937 pg. 5 FOUR YOUNG PEOPLE KILLED NEAR HOWE Four persons were killed, three instantly, and two others suffered injuries as a south-bound Texas Electric Railway interurban demolished an automobile Sunday afternoon shortly before 1 o'clock at a private farm crossing one mile north of Howe. The dead are Harry Gibson, 18, of Howe; his brother, Jim Gibson, 22, and the latter's daughter, Eula Gibson, 1, of Westminster, who were killed outright, and Edith Sprowl, 8, who died at a Sherman hospital at 5:30 p.m. Sunday from a fractured skull. Edith Sprowl was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt Sprowl of Westminster, and the Gibson brothers were sons of Frank Gibson of Howe. Their automobile was partially across the track when it was struck by the interurban which carried the demolished machine 100 yards down the track.
