Miss Maie Graves is visiting in Denton this week.
Miss Eva Stillwell has gone to St. Paul, Minnesota, to visit her brother, Newell Stillwell.
Lefevre Gordon, Lloyd Wright, Jack Webster and Gomer Graves were Honey Grove visitors Monday.
The Whitewright Commercial Club authorizes its secretary to announce that the club will pay $50 per month for the approaching 6 months covering the cotton season as a salary bonus to attract a competent and satisfactory man for the position of cotton weigher at Whitewright's new cotton yard.

Miss Emma Phillips, daughter of A.T. Phillips of Whitewright and Mr. M.W. Pollard of Lone Oak were married at Greenville Saturday evening.
J.R. Oliver lost one of his ton -litter contest pigs last week, which leaves him 9 in the litter.   The pigs were weighed July 1st, tipping the scales at 1525-1/2 pounds.
Mrs. R.E. Whitworth, 76, died at the home of her son, T.B. Whitworth, south of town.

William Thomas St. John died at his home in Orangeville community Friday.
At a meeting of the school board Monday evening William Cantrell of Greenville was elected principal of the high school for the 1930-1931 session.
Charlie Bill Mayo died Saturday at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. U.J. Cates.
The Chaser, official publication of the Texas Tuberculosis Sanatorium at Sanatorium is publishing  a series of cartoons by Joe Weldon Carr of Whitewright, former patient at  the institution.
Fred Scott Vestal is attending Citizens Military Training Camp at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.
Mrs. H.T. Arterberry entertained with a bridge luncheon Wednesday, honoring her house guest, Mrs. Fulton Edwards of Memphis, Tennessee.  Present were Mrs. Grady Geer of Van Alstyne, Mrs. Jack Mitchell of St. Louis, Mrs. Horace Gordon of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Mrs. De Troy Peters and Mrs. Dick Firquin of Sherman, Mrs. Claud Lackey of Tom Bean, Mrs. C.B. Bryant, Mrs. Ross May, Mrs. Ed LaRoe, Miss May Badgett, Mrs. Ray Manning, Mrs. Glenn Doss, Mrs. Gomer May and Miss Ethel Gordon.

Walter Fain lost 3  tires from his trailer, Dr. C.P. Johnson one tire and Jesse Bow one tire to thieves Friday night.
The American Legion picnic opened here yesterday to run the rest of the week.
Farmers in this area are threshing about 30 to 40 bushels of oats to the acre.
Clyde Craig fell Thursday and broke his leg in 2 places below the knee.
Bettye Nell Yeager, 7-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Yeager, was painfully burned Monday when gasoline vapor ignited while her uncle, Jack Yeager, was transferring gasoline from a truck to a storage tank at a Tom Bean Filling station.
